Photoshop Tips Part 1

Hello, welcome to halyconstudio school day! Haha! Kidding..
Well here are some useful tips for the noobs out there who doesn't have any photoshop skills at all. First, of course you gotta identify the available functions on the panel and shortcut as well. If you that this software is too hard for you, Nah~~ You're wrong because it is really as simple as 123. Nevertheless, the filters are there for u to re-touch your photos. For web developers (starters), maybe you need some creativity to blend some effects on the photos.

Okay, lets start on Lesson1.
What are you going to do with your photos once it's ready? Emboss it? or maybe as simple as resizing it? Let's take for example...

This is a normal unedited photo.
Well, I pixelize the banner for some reasons :)

The lasso tool act as the main component at this stage.
Crop all possible space that you need for future designs.

Now, if possible put some shading for a reflecting effects.
On the toolbar, go to Windows > Select Layers. The layers act as a timeline and levels of image prescription (arrangements). See the next image for more instructions.

This is the Layer pane. The left side is the image that I will make an edit.
Same as the shadow, I will do some fading effects / alpha blends.

Continue from 03, to put shading, copy the same layer again (DUPLICATE LAYER) and on the toolbar again, go to Image > Rotate Canvas > Flip Canvas Vertical (topeng) and you got a duplicate copy of the main picture. Now on this layer, right click and select on Blending Options. The Opacity (alpha blends) will set to 30 for more fading look. These will apply to the shadows as mentioned on 03.

Now that all possible effects are done, apply some coloured lines for your design.
Put a few text lines for conveniency look or feel.
Noticed that there is a speeding white lines before the alphabet C.
That would be blurred motion features under your toolbars .. Filters > Blur > Motion Blur.

Now here is another unedited picture.
Looks dull right? Maybe I can apply a dual combination of retro and tempo glance on the theme.
Less glassier in other terms.

These are the effects before and after.
As usual, I applied the same thing, layers plays an important role here.
Toggle CTRL + mouse on the Lasso tool and draw a rectangular box on the right.
Then, CTRL + C to copy the original image and CTRL + V to paste again.
By right, there should be a second layer on the image but only the slected portion (Lasso tools) you've done earlier on.
Again, use the blending options for shadings, colour tone and brightness. That might help!

And that's it for today's lesson. Hope you enjoyed it.
Don't just sit there and listen, trying yourself is one good explorable experience. =)

Nintendo wii

WOW, bacho for the teens! I guess no one is gonna miss this cubical (so called) set! Ninetendo are ready to set force on Asian markets on their newly furnished products, the Nintendo WII with the US itself, targeting 1 million sets. Would there be a shortage in Singapore? possibly yes due to Australian demands.

The remote-like 'Joystick' is a new breakthrough!

Notice there are 3 ladies hitting mosquitos, the first lady is charming!

And what is the price along the tags? Not to say too expensive nor cheap! I still remember my first Nintendo set (Tape) which cost me around RM600 (with only a free street fighter game) way back in 1990. The classic joystick! However, the price doesn't seemed to have a great change on after a few years, or perhaps it might go higher due to it's functionalities and popular demands. It will be a big bash / impact for the X-BOX and PSP3 market as well, I think!

The pros are good reality experiences while the cons is only the flat screen based. Normal TV can't support! How bout an LCD plasma screen! =D Okay, the price are set to around SGD$500+ Not sure but you can check out here! This piece of machine will be out in Singapore market at the end of this month! Can't stand to grab 1! =D

It's hard to understand others

Rubbing my mouth with garlic and garam first.
Getting together is simply so not easy but understanding ones' mind is simply fustrated especially you don't know what are them up to. These cases goes on Britney and Kevin. They are divorce. I still remember Britney was one of my hottest fav during school days. Her talent moved our teen spirit of dancing and singing, no fedup accused. But after married, Britney just can't keep her shape in turn and that's where her image started to collapse. Just hope that this queen of popstar could gather her true spirit back on the dance floor.

The journey ends

Well for my P.O.V., marriage is all about true understanding and share of thoughts. I got a friend who knew her partner not more than 1.5 years, and they got married after that. All I thought in my mind that timee was, how far this-fast-peak-relations could last? .... Rephrase back...

Lunch Time

Dunno why o. After meeting, this General Manager so generous treat me lunch!
What to do? Free Lunch... Now I know there are free lunch in this world!
天下有免费的午餐!
roasted chicken + curry chicken + fish cake + duck + soft tofu.

Doubt

I doubt that these might be true 'somewhere else'.

Horoscope of Gemini (May 21 - Jun 21) @ Nov14,06'
"Some of your inner thoughts are leaking out into your actions right now, and you're probably not realizing it. Your unconscious body language is sending a definite message to the world -- and it could be misread unless you make an effort to clarify your stance on an issue. Take a close look at what you're doing and whom you're avoiding, and you'll soon see how you can prevent anyone from getting the wrong idea about you. Face up to what you've been putting off."

It's a Boar @ 2007

Ahem, next year is a year of boar oh! So happie!
Cuz''' I'm from the year of boar (1983). Some people are just so anguish to have their own year arrive after circulating for years. WHY? Because they have fake minds and sceptical fools; hardcore believers (jk).

Nah... this horoscope thingy from 'some' geomancer is part of human's cointension and relief. And so it goes only a fact that is true, which is to earn money from those who believe. Or.... I tell you-you pay me lah! Bah... let's see....

Pig Piggie

Personality
Diligent, courageous and hates quarrels. Sensitive, indulgent and cultured with a streak of earthliness. Can be self-indulgent to the point of gluttony. Can also be insecure. The Pig is also a perfect friend although not a deep thinker and rather materialistic, not good at handling money but fortune is always around him/her.

Sensitive, indulgent and cultured with a streak of earthliness. Can be self-indulgent to the point of gluttony. Can also be insecure. The Pig is also a perfect friend although not a deep thinker and rather materialistic, not good at handling money but fortune is always around him/her.

The Pigs likes: Praise, Health, Diets, Teams, Bath, Comfort, Home, Children and Pets.
The Pigs Dislikes: Tiredness, Arguments, Paying Bills, Work, Hunger, Excess, Crime and Concrete.

(Wow.. 90% accuracy detected! But I like to work on what I liked the most and excess relevant situations eva money. Indeed, I'm bad on handling my personal finance but also admit that money comes all the way, anywhere, however, whenever, wherever! Shhhh...... 2 much secret!)

My Luck In Year 2007
Overall Forecast Pigs will experience turbulence under the invasion of the Tai Sui Star. Bad luck will never stop hindering you or putting on your nerves. However, if you can know your place, the situation will improve under the help of Tianjie Star in most time. Just have your feet on the ground, and you may attain your end. More charity works can exclude your anxiety and retain your positivity as well.

(means I fan tai sui lah.... I believe there is a lot of '贵人' supporting me. =D My feet is always on the ground but oh, sometimes I felt the greed! Charity works? hmmm..... time to go old folks home!)

Career
Your luck is unstable and your work will be affected. Both the physical and the mental environment are not in top gear, which will ruin your efficiency. But you can prosper from your mental preparations and timely adjustment. Take the world as you find it and choose easier way if possible because they can virtually raised your efficiency. It’s not the time for job-hopping, so you should be satisfied with the present.

(means I cannot change my current job? NOOooooooooooooOOOOooo! I need a change! I need bonus as well T.T so sad!)

Love
You will have a checkered love life. Great stress may lead to emotional problems which can make you draw blood from your sweetheart with a cutting remark but not rational analysis when facing love or family conflicts. Youngsters should be chary of gossips from your friends and hustle obstacles out of your love way. The disagreement in opinion will make middle-ages couples exchange words, and tolerance may be the only way out.

(wait till the mango is ripe or there are some BIG ONES to plug down?)

Wealth
Your wealth luck is average. It is lucky to keep the expenditure within the limits on the premise that your income has not been impressively promoted. But things always run counter to your wishes. You will have to pay more to deal with unexpected new problems, so make a budget in advance to unburden your stress. Keep cautious with investment to avoid risk involved. Don’t touch each other’s interests when making friends.

(the amount received could not handle the amount tackled / spent (in Malaysia)! But these had made possible in Singapore. Am considering foreign country projects/works for my future entities.)
