Explore Hong Kong Part 3.1 - FOOD BLOG

Well hey hey hey, here is the never ending Hong Kong Post but this time I am going to bring your non-other than the Food post. To travel, we gotta enjoy the culture, nature, and be mature enough on selecting food; of course we need local delicacies; applealing, nifty FOOD!

For 5 consecutive days, we've been eating like siao. Siao means crazy! Simply irrisistable time enjoying my life there. keke! Here goes... long long picture sentence ON THE WAY~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (just don't get sick of my O2, 2.0 Mpx camera =D)

HK style Kopitiam (茶餐厅)

Just after we alight from the airport to mongkok (upcoming post), we checked in our hotel and later on move to this Kopitiam for some morning breakfast.

What's this? teh tarik ar?
Yeah, non-other than the famouse ICE LEMON TEA... 冻柠茶... 真是好好喝啊!
Sweet with the lemon and blended ice (RECOMMENDED)! I had 2 thou! hehe! A glass cost H$18 and worth a try!

The Famous POLO PAU! 菠罗包
Crispy topping (Butter and fills) with Pineapple filling! Yummy!

This is the HK style Chicken Sandwich.
Tasted like the one back @ my college days. Not bad ah~ H$8

H$8 only. Yieks~
Well, don't feel really convenient in the shop since it is a smoking-like-air-condition Kopitiam.
In HK, it's normal lah but in Singapore, you'll be fin $500 for smoking inside air-condition permise. Bah~

The name

So here again is the famous POLO CHA SIEW PAU (菠罗叉烧包) again!
But it's mini and filling is different! Okay we had 2 times of morning breakfast here because the food is really attracting our stomach. haha. On the right is CHA SIEW CHEUNG FAN (叉烧肠粉)

Here are the main course!
Left is SIEW MAI (烧麦), KAI ZAO (鸡爪) on top, PAI KUAT (排骨) and SIEW MAI again.
All meat okay? Should be Okay!

Then this! XO Sauce LOBAK GOU (Carrat cake / 罗卜糕)

Steam PAO with pork meat. Nice to chew on and the soup inside the PAO just splash on your jaw. Weeeeeee~

The LOBAK GOU is really tender, nice and soft. Once in your mouth, you'd like to have 2,3,4,5,6,7,....

Here are the 5 types SIEW MAI which contains Prawn, Chicken Mushroom, GAB BEI or it tasted like ABALONE (long ones). Thrills! Five stars! ★★★★★
These are only eaten on the 2nd day but u see...

The fourth day we had this!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Before this, we had the above like 4-5 plates we felt very full and later, THIS!!!!!
Don't you feel like vomiting or 反胃 when looking at it? HAHA!
Cuz' we dunno when will be the next time visiting HK, so we ordered without consent!
Every types of DIM SUM included yeah! SIEW MAI, HAR KAU, CHEUNG FAN, SIEW FAN, JIU TONG, ZHENG PAO, KAI ZAO, YUK WAN, etc......
All together 18 basket compared back on Day 2 only 12 basket! lolx!

Again, I saw the guy inside the kitchen SMOKED while he was doing our food!
Oh gawd, how on earth are we going to swollow those? NVM, it's food! and should have reported to the Hygene Department @ HK. Hmmm....

While I had this! It's not cooked by that bastard! But the front part SIFU instead.
It's Geese noodle. The meat are juicy and tender. NICE! hence, got a read bean soup. Mmmmm.... H$20 + H$10 I just love the Red Bean Soup In Hong Kong because they implement herbs and orange peel. ^_^ Good for health. I still remember last time when I aws here and went to the above restaurant to have dinner and eventually got a bowl of red bean soup. It cures my sickness A.S.A.P. good ar?

There are 2 shops located in this building. 1 @ ground floor and 1 @ the 10th Floor. So I think this would be a nice place to hang out at. Those books are fakes!

Monkok is just a perfect location in Hong Kong because Foods, Fashion are everywhere @ affordable price. After Disneyland, we're too tired to walk and we came to Satay King. Satay King don't sell Satay, but marvellous food made in HK.

Creamy Brocolli with sweet babe corn. H$30

haha! everything creamy ceramy feelz.

Exotic Ramen with Sup Tulang and vege+
H$38. Smells like Kari Maggie Mee and some sup tulang flavour. NICE!

I had this!
FRIED RICE with CRAB MEAT and MANGO + Peanuts. It's good and 4 star! ★★★★
H$49 (most expensive 1). =D

HARBOUR PLAZA
We had this Vege Rice (菜饭) when we alight @ Harbour Plaza.
Just like 3+1 or 2+1 / 2 meats 1 vege stuff like that. Price ard H$ 18 with lemon tea ^^

Hong Kong International Airport

Ah the HK International Airport!
We had our dinner here @ the last day before flying back to Singapore.
It's glad to have a variety of food stalls here. Wieppie~

I had this! POPEYES Set.
A Prawn Burger and the fries are MAN, MUCH MORE BETTER THAN KFC / MACDs'
and a coleslaw + drink

I eat burger in different way. The worse tasted food into my mouth and the most tasty food later. HAHA! Picky eh? These are the prawns!!! MmmmmmMmm..

But this set cost me H$42!!!! =.=

My frens had this RAMEN ard H$38 with half egg and pork stews and sup tulang! It's the same as Singapores'.

As mentioned above, from MACAU's Bakkery shop. Look are the cakes. I love the puddings alright! =) Prices around $18 above and SYOKKK!! ★★★★★

The Sifu of this bakery shop are using his 'heart' to design the desserts and cakes. Good one!

    HAVE U tried the Hong Kong Cafes in Singapore.

    Suddenly, it sprout out everywhere in SG.

    Some are quite yaky, but I have tried some good one too.

    Rob : Oh you mean "san wong chan teng" '新旺餐厅'? I never been there yet ar. hehe but maybe later or something lor... cuz too much food for me to try out! =D

    Pink :Ooooo Someone is interested on exploring hong kong. HAHAHA! In singapore here exchange rate is SGD$1 : HKD$4.90 / in malaysia you know lar, devide by two! HKD$10 : RM5 lor. Very expensive...
